As mentioned on our previous blog we're going to discuss next, the way of saying goodbye when you are leaving a group of people you've met with. To say goodbye on such occasions, you may use "annyeonghi gyeseyo". If "annyeonghi gaseyo" means "go well", "annyeonghi gyeseyo" means "stay well".

So far we've learned two ways to say goodbye!

LEARN WORD NO. 7: ANNYEONGHI GASEYO (안녕히 가세요) We already know how to say "hello" in korean, but how do we say goodbye when we part ways with those we've met? In korean language, there are two given situations of saying goodbye. First one is saying goodbye when you are leaving the place. Second one is saying goodbye when someone is leaving the place and you stayed.  For the second case where you are saying goodbye to a "leaving person", you'll need to use "annyeonghi gaseyo". This is the same as saying "go well".  Next time we'll learn how to say "goodbye" when you are the "leaving person". LEARN WORD NO. 11: BANGAPSEUMNIDA IN HANGUL: 반갑습니다 At this point in time we already know how to say hello (annyeong haseyo, annyeong hasimnikka, annyeong), thank you (gamsahamnida, or gomawo), goodbye (annyeonghi gaseyo, annyeonghi gyeseyo, annyeong), sorry (joesonghamnida), excuse me/to call the attention of someone (jeogiyo) and excuse me/to pass through a crowd (jamsimanyo).  Now we'll be studying more words, and our 11th word is "Bangapseumnida". Let's start with settling the hangul for this word. If you would notice the third syllable which is 습 is pronounced as "seum" instead of "seup".
