LEARN WORD NO. 12: YEOBOSEYO IN HANGUL: 여보세요 Today, our word for the day is quite simple. We already know how to say a simple hello in person, now we also need to know how to say "hello" when answering the telephone. If in english we just use "hello" as well, in korean language they don't use the "annyeong" or "annyeong haseyo" to say hello through a telephone. Instead, they use the word "yeoboseyo" which is written in hangul as 여보세요. So, when answering the phone, you can use "yeoboseyo" to say hello on a korean setting. While passing through a crowd, you can tell people "just a second" to express that you'll need some space to pass and walk through. This is also used to tell someone to wait for a second. ANNYEONGHI GASEYO (안녕히 가세요)

LEARN WORD NO. 7: ANNYEONGHI GASEYO (안녕히 가세요) We already know how to say "hello" in korean, but how do we say goodbye when we part ways with those we've met? In korean language, there are two given situations of saying goodbye. First one is saying goodbye when you are leaving the place. Second one is saying goodbye when someone is leaving the place and you stayed. For the second case where you are saying goodbye to a "leaving person", you'll need to use "annyeonghi gaseyo". This is the same as saying "go well". Next time we'll learn how to say "goodbye" when you are the "leaving person". LEARN WORD NO. 139: MWORAGO IN HANGUL: 뭐라고 What is the meaning of the korean word "mworago"? The korean word "mworago" which is written in hangul as "뭐라고" is used to ask "what did you say?" in korean. Be careful when using this because as far as I heard on korean dramas, this is likely used when you can't accept what someone said, so this would probably sound rude. It could also be normally used when you wanted someone to repeat what they said because you did not hear it, but again, always be precautious and try to be as respectful as possible if you wanted to ask someone what they said. Just remember, when you hear the term "mworago" you can understand that that person is asking "what did you say?" in korean. LEARN WORD NO. 55: MWOYEYO IN HANGUL: 뭐예요 What is the meaning of the korean word "mwoyeyo"? The korean word "mwoyeyo" which is written in hangul as "뭐예요 " is used to say or ask "what?" in korean. If you want to ask for someone's name in korean you can say "ireum-i mwoyeyo? ( 이름이 뭐예요?) " . On this example question, "mwoyeyo" is similar to "what is" of the english language. So if we attach "mwoyeyo" to "ireum" it will result to a phrase similar to asking "what is your name?". On informal setting, you can say "what" by just saying "mwo ( 뭐)", but remember that this is only applicable on informal setting, be careful on using "mwo" as it can sound disrespectful especially to those you are not close with and to the older ones.
